Stoke City’s Attempt on Summer Swoop for Daniel Iversen Becomes Clearer

Stoke City seems to be still interested in signing Daniel Iverson and can probably make a move for the goalkeeper in the transfer window summer.

But the deal will depend on if or not Leicester can strengthen its choices in this specific position. The Foxes have been touted with a transfer for Antony Patterson, the Sunderland keeper.

Understandably, the Black Cats can be open to the probability of selling Patterson for £10 million if they are unable to secure promotion to the Premier League. Leicester can face stiff competition for the signature of Patterson from Wolves who have been linked with a summer swoop.

For Stoke, Iverson has been a long-term target and had been linked to a move to the Bet364 stadium in the previous month. Nevertheless, the Potters couldn’t convince Leicester to part ways with Iverson and so shifted their attention to other targets.

When Stoke parted ways with Josef Bursik and secured Matija Sarkic from Wolves temporarily. Sarkic made their second appearance for the club in their 1-0 game to Luton Town and is hoped to feature once more when they face Hull City in the Championship.

When you consider the aim of Stoke for the rest of the campaign is going to be to retain their Championship status, signing Iversen during the summer and it could prove to be good business for the club since he knows what it takes to compete in the game at this level.

During this career until now, Dane has claimed 22 clean sheets in his 69 appearances, which he has made in the second tier. Having just been used on 4 occasions by Leicester in the present season and it can be argued that Iverson needs to look to seal his permanent departure from the club in case he fails to make further inroads in the coming months.
